Theme Walk...

Top - old as the hills, can't remember where I bought it
Bag - Topshop
Skirt - Zara
Tights - H&M, I think
Shoes - Sarah Karen

Yesterday I went on this theme walk about a terribly long Polish book called Lalka. It was actually pretty entertaining, though, surprisingly enough, the walk I mean, not the book, which for all I know is very entertaining, but I will not pass judgement before reading it. The sun was shining and there was this old professor type guy who was reading extracts from the book in a lovely sort of pre-war black-and-white-film-type accent, where all the ł sounds were pronounced like normal l, etc, while we walked around the locations in Łazienki park. All I can say is, I'm glad the weather didn't play up, because then it would have been a total failure. As it was I ended up getting photographed with ladies in crinolines and gents in top hats and went home in a happy, Victorian dream.

During my fantastic Easter trip to the dear ol' UK I had the pleasure of visiting Doddington Hall (a nice little, slightly low-key Elizabethan stately home just 10 mins drive or so from G&G's house). I was somewhat wary of the gardens, having been told that they were nothing much to write home about, but I actually ended up loving them and the whole visit was really amazing, the only downside being the windy/rainy weather, which, even though at the time it was utter hell and I was absolutely freezing to death, in retrospect gives the photos a sort of moody, misty, overcast air. All in all, there is nothing I love more than a nice old house. It almost made me feel bad about not wearing something more vintage-y. Almost.
